Hi everybody!

I am a French adult beginner living in Bordeaux.

I bought the book "Fiddle tunes for beginning cello" by Stacy Philips.

Could you please help me to understand "SLUR" in this sentence : "I have minimized slurs. So feel free to add occasional two note slurs if it makes a tune easier to play."

Thanks a lot

Bonjour Laurence,

I think it means that "slurs" (more than one note to a bow) have been mostly taken out. If you feel that it is easier to play WITH slurs then feel free to add them in, In other words please yourself!

J'espère que des aides

Fred

Thanks Fred.

SO:

You say "slur" when we say "liaison"
You say "two note slurs" when we say "2 notes liées"

Now, it's clear for me.

Have a nice day!
